Carolane SimardSeptember 4, 2026I wish I could give LMBK 6/5 stars, but unfortunately that’s not possible! I absolutely loved my stay at LMBK and honestly wish I could have stayed longer. The staff are always incredibly kind, welcoming, and ready to help at any time of the day. The vibes are amazing! There are plenty of activities throughout the week and, most importantly, lots of surfing — exactly what I was looking for. The surf coaches are absolutely incredible. They take the time to answer all your questions, give you great advice, and go over what you can improve at the end of every session. They’re knowledgeable, passionate about surfing, and genuinely want to help you progress. I could clearly see a huge difference in my surfing abilities from the beginning to the end of the week. The crowd is mostly late twenties to early thirties, which creates a really respectful and fun vibe, while still making it super easy to meet other travelers. The location in central Kuta is also incredibly convenient. The surf coaches were excellent, especially Ajar, who always made sure we were safe in the lineup while still helping us push ourselves and catch challenging waves. Highly recommend!Posted on Google

I’ve read a lot of LMBK reviews, and I was expecting great things from the facilities, surf structure and social atmosphere - but what I wasn’t expecting was the breakfast coffees to taste so damn good. I will not forgive myself for failing to get the morning baristas names but they will hold a special place in my life as absolute coffee magicians. I felt very assured having a late night on the tangs that I could wake up early and be revived by a latte from the heavens before the morning surf session. Outside of the coffee I am truly thankful for the LMBK experience which was made particularly memorable by Head Surf Coach Lan and Surf Manager Mika. These two are truly remarkable people and go a long way in making your time at LMBK special I would also like to note that we travelled with my younger cousin who can at times struggle socially (pictured with sunglasses). The team were super helpful and accommodating and made him feel very welcomed which we were all truly grateful for, Riko was especially welcomingPosted on Google
Kyle CombeerAugust 18, 2026I've seen some 7/5 and even some 8/5 scores, but I think those guys are underselling it. I'd have to say this is a 9/5 star experience! The actual place you stay is set back from the main road, so you get all of the benefits of good food, shopping and night-life with absolutely none of the noise. They provide solid breakfasts every day as part of the package, with yum options for lunch and of course plenty of Bintangs for arvo poolside hangs post surfing. With either one or two sessions every day, you will soon be feeling like Kelly Slater in no time. Our intermediate group had two absolute stars in Riko and Hakim who not only guided us to the right take off spots, but would also ensure we got waves in crowded locations and then provided funny but actionable tips on improving our surfing. Not only this, the LMBK surf manager Mika was an absolute star and would (where he could) consider requests for going to other surf spots with our group. One of the best sessions we had was from him arranging us to get over to Ekas Insides for an early morning surf. Overall, the good energy from the LMBK crew coupled with solid surfing analysis and great instructors meant I came away after a week knowing I'd just levelled up my surfing. The food at the family dinners was lovely, reception staff very freindly and helpful and our instructors were friendly and knowledgeable and great fun. First time with a surf camp and it was excellent, the Accomodation is lovely, great community and so supportive. Mika, Lan and Robin were especially helpful and the two bartender/baristas whose names I didn’t get. Would recommend to anyone looking for a surf camp or a place to stay in Kuta. The whole team are incredibly friendly, accommodating and genuinely care about making sure everyone has a great experience. The coaching was outstanding. I’ve been surfing since I was a kid, but I learnt more in one week here than I expected. The instructors explained things in a way that just clicked, and I left feeling much more confident in the water with a much better understanding of reading waves, positioning and technique. Whether you’re travelling solo or with friends, this is such a fun place to stay. The atmosphere is relaxed, it’s easy to meet people, and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. A huge thank you to the reception team—Deka, Nuuk, Suzy, Tari, and Tommi—for making everyone feel so welcome from day one. The surf instructors, Salim, Ali, Ronni, Wawan, and especially Robin and Bull, were amazing. They helped me improve so much and made me fall in love with surfing. A big shout-out to Pablo and Mika for making everything run so smoothly behind the scenes. I also loved all the extra activities - they’re so much fun and a great way to get everyone involved. Emma HartmanJuly 10, 2026Ik heb 1 week LMBK surf house gedaan en het was echt in één woord geweldig!! Allereerst is het complex echt heel erg mooi. Het zwembad is erg relaxed en de kamers zijn schoon. De bedden en badkamer waren echt goed. Je hebt veel privacy ondanks dat je met andere in een kamer slaapt. Verder wil ik echt complimenten geven aan de hele crew. Al het personeel was super vriendelijk, behulpzaam en gezellig. Van ‘s ochtends vroeg tot ‘s avonds laat stonden ze voor je klaar. Er hangt een gezellige en relaxte sfeer. Altijd in voor een praatje en je kan echt lachen met iedereen van de crew. Ze checken ook continu bij je in hoe het gaat. Verder is het ook erg goed geregeld, ze luisteren naar je feedback en doen er meteen wat mee. Ze geven persoonlijk surf advies en nemen oprecht de tijd voor je surf vragen. Elke dag surfen was super vet. De surf instructors nemen de tijd, geven je zelfs in het water tips en helpen je. Speciale complimenten aan Ali en Bull. Ali is echt een hele goede surf intructor. Hij is grappig, zorgt voor een ontspannen sfeer en neemt heel erg te tijd om je echt goed te leren surfen. Hij kijkt je golf tot einde na in het water en geeft daarna tips. Ook als je gespannen bent voor de golven, zorgt die voor rust en vertrouwen. Bull is ook echt een topper. Hij kan heel goed surfen en zorgt voor een gezellige sfeer. Hij geeft tips en helpt je continu in het water. Heel erg veel geleerd van deze twee! Ik ben van een 9’0” naar een 7’8” gegaan. Echt heel erg aan te raden LMBK surf house!Posted on Google
Alex AudiJuly 7, 2026A week at LMBK was my introduction to Lombok. It set the stage for what turned out to be another 6 weeks living the good life in Kuta. The week at the surf house set me up for success taking me to so many local breaks, introducing me to the best spots for yoga, gym, surf skate, etc etc. The team works like a family and they made me feel part of that even after I was no longer staying there. As a 33 year old solo traveler, it’s important the type of crowd anywhere I stay attracts. It felt like the balance at LMBK was just right, not too much partying but easy to make friends of all ages and from all over the world. And for a reason, it’s a great atmosphere, amazing surf guides and top class hostel They ensure you go to great surf spots, that you are safe and having fun! Especially Ronni who was a surf guide for a group of my friends and I for the whole week and he was GREAT!!! Had a great attitude, always smiling My only downside is lack of coffee facilities for the sunrise surf and also everyone requiring food first thing in the morning and not getting it on time :( Otherwise love LMBK, it’s definetly expensive in comparison to other options but would recommendPosted on Google

Never one person who was part of the LMBK team was not smiling ❤️❤️❤️ The reception team were so helpful and friendly (shoutout to the amazing Suzi!) Our instructors were amazing and so so kind- Shoutout to Lan, Ali, Rico, Ree and Robin! Our lead instructors for the week were mostly Lan and Ali they are amazing- We will miss you! First aid is also helpful too with any cuts from the reefs etc- someone is always there to help and nearby clinic is great too. Surfing was great as they take it to all the good spots and with photo and video analysis and theory sessions you will definitely improve! Stayed in the dorm room which was good- it may seem expensive as a whole package but had the most amazing experience so defo worth it! Kitchen team were also amazing as we had three family dinners at our time there which were delicious - also great coffee and drinks. Only small thing that we would improve is that sometimes they ran out of ingredients for some breakfast stuff- but not a big deal. The fact that that was the only thing shows how amazing it is😂 The surf house is a great location with lots of restaurants/bars and shops too! The accommodation is also really well designed, giving you privacy even in a surf house environment. I’d highly recommend this as your first place to stay in Lombok, since you’ll get to know all the best spots for food, drinks, and of course surf. And the surf itself is just amazing. They make everything so easy for you, so you can fully focus on improving with some of the most patient, supportive, and motivating instructors. Not only while you’re in the water, but afterwards too—they’ll always give you feedback, insights, and tips to help you improve and work on your mistakes. B DJune 2, 2026I didn’t want to leave! My goodness what an incredible experience. Genuine haven in the middle of Kuta. The facilities are luxurious with so many birds in the frangipani trees over the pool, one of my favourite ways to wake up with the call to prayer and birds! Me and my friend had the private room with twin beds, super comfortable, beautiful shower and lovely little deck to relax on and dry clothes. The food and family dinners were epic, I wish they had their Gado Gado sauce on the lunch menu as I could have eaten that daily! There was a barista there who could make an angel and a horse/unicorn with the coffee milk which was wild and the breakfasts were delicious. The reception staff Tommi, Riska, Nuuk and Tari were just so lovely and welcoming and Adink as well behind the bar. Honestly all the staff were incredible. I really enjoyed learning about where they grew up in Indonesia and just about Indonesia in general. The surf instructors are unbelievably talented (literally watched Lan do a headstand surfing yesterday to the bemusement of another surfer not connected to LMBK). I am so pumped that I have improved my surfing plus have techniques I can continue to work on and think about when I surf back home. Their surf theory lesson was also so helpful and the photo and video analysis really helps you see where you need to work on. Special shout out to Ade, Lean and Ajar, I learnt so much from you and what an experience to see you surf. You guys are so talented and your ability to read and understand the waves is just amazing plus your instruction and encouragement was really appreciated. There were times where I was definitely challenged and totally doubting my ability but they would be so calm and giving me the firm guidance I needed. At one point one of the members in my group was having trouble in the white wash and Ajar paddled out and stayed with her to make sure she got to safety which I know she appreciated. It can get very crowded in spots in Lombok so absolutely have a guide with you and do a surf camp. The week we were there we learnt that the wave energy was low so there was a bit of saturation on the spots we surfed at times. But I surf in Sydney so crowds I am a bit more used to plus they make it work. All up I really hope to come back, I felt right at home by the end of it, contemplated extending my stay multiple times. There is not need to think to much, which was great for me. I booked one of the private rooms, it was super clean, nice and had all I needed (Only no safe box). I am a beginner and the first surf was a bit rough for me, however the surf guide Ade was assigned to me to help me with my fears, and he did and excellent work together with his team 💕 I am so happy with the results, he was very patient and made sure I was getting the feedback needed to improve, super happy with his work. Vor allem das Surfen hat mir unglaublich viel Spaß gemacht – die Surflehrer waren super nett und haben einem auch das Gefühl von Sicherheit im Wasser gegeben. Auch das ganze Team war total herzlich und die Stimmung im Camp einfach entspannt und angenehm. Der Wochenplan mit den Aktivitäten war eine schöne Ergänzung, dadurch hatte man eine gewisse Routine und trotzdem noch genug Zeit den Ort zu erkunden. The activities offered were so much fun and the surf overall was great. The breakfast was delicious and the perfect way to fuel a morning surf. The location is truly ideal. There was such a friendly environment around the camp and it was really fun to meet everyone. There is a family vibe to the program that makes it feel very welcoming. All of the surf instructors were great, especially Salim! He was always in such a good, goofy mood. It was impossible to be in a bad mood around him. He was always cracking jokes and having a great time. He even got the whole car awake and dancing and singing before our sunrise surfs despite how tired we all were! Very well managed and organized place run by enthusiastic people who truly care about you. Whether you're a pro or beginner, everyone finds something valuable here. Instructors were the best. Positive and encouraging and always smiling, making you feel like you can conquer any wave! Surf spots were just out of this world, amazing scenery and my surfing improved a lot in just a week. Loved the surf analysis and all the pictures taken that I will cherish and use as a tool for future surf improvement. Food was sooo good and so was staff that genuinely cares with smile on their faces always. LMBK was more than I could ever imagine and I will definitely be back! Oh and the whole facility is just beautiful, rooms always clean, beds made daily and unwinding in the pool with nice cold drink and coconut was the best form of relax. I learned so much from him and we had a lot of fun during the sessions, which made the experience even better. I also learned a lot from John as Well, all the other teachers where also great. The vibes were incredible, it is a very social but chilly atmosphere allowing you to make a lot of new friends. The surf guides and employees were super nice and helpful, what allows you to have a good evolution in your surfing. Totally recommend it and will definitely come back!Posted on Google

From the moment they pick you up at the airport, until the time of check out. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Always predisposed and with the best smile. 菅野俊吉郎February 25, 2026いつも40人から50人のサーファーがこの宿に泊まってレベルごとに別れたグループで一緒にサーフィンします。ヨーロッピアンが多いく 日本人は私1人でしたがスタッフのみなさんもいつも気遣いが出来、親切で笑顔で対応してくれます。 たくさんの様々な国のサーファーと仲良くなり共通語は英語なので7日間滞在しましたが、かなり英語も上達したと思います。 毎日の朝ごはん、サーフポイントまでの送迎、サーフ指導、カメラやドローンによる空撮で自分のライディングを撮ってもらい上達の為のフィードバックがもらえます。 ロンボク到着時は他のホテルに滞在し、サーフガイドを雇いバイクで移動してましたが、 それらの費用を計算するとMLBKに宿泊した方が間違いなく良いです。色々な所にサーフトリップして来ましたが、人生において一番のトリップになりました。こちらを強くおすすめします。スタッフの方々、世界中の一緒にサーフした仲間に感謝します。Posted on Google
Hailey HigginsFebruary 20, 2026Where to even begin….I miss LMBK already & for starters I extended my stay twice because I just didn’t want to leave. My surfing improved a lot I started on a 9 foot and ended up at a 6’2. These instructors stood out to me over my 15 day holiday: Salim, Rizki, Zul, Lan & Lean. If you get a chance to have them as your instructor you will improve and not be able to stop laughing while surfing! Tommi and Suzy are incredible in the reception team and make you feel right at home. I stayed in the 6 person dorm it was very clean and spacious!
